Superheaven brings its heavy-lidded alternative rock to Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver on June 10, 2026. Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and first known as Daylight, the quartet threads 90s-grunge thickness with emo and melodic post-hardcore. Early EPs and Jar (2013) set the tone; Ours Is Chrome (2015), cut with Will Yip, tightened the balance between weight and melody. After a quieter stretch, the band returned to the stage and, with Long Gone and Numb to What Is Real paving the way to a 2025 self-titled album, plays a set built on slow-burn pressure, dense riffs and vocals that stay direct, without showiness.
Modern Color comes up from the South Bay of Los Angeles with a blend of post-hardcore, shoegaze and emo. Textured guitars, held-back tempos and unvarnished singing shape songs that moved from short, tense bursts to more atmospheric pieces where melody grows without losing abrasion, linking DIY punk circuits and indie rock spaces.
All Under Heaven rounds out the bill from the newer wave of American shoegaze and emo. Alternative rock contours meet dream-pop haze and a steady rhythmic pull. Guitars swell, voices blur into the mix, and choruses stay readable amid the fog, shifting between saturation, clear lines and rougher surges.
