Kid Francescoli

Kid Francescoli is the alias of Marseille producer Mathieu Hocine, who positions his sound somewhere between electro-pop, dream pop and a sultry, understated dance layer. Since the early 2000s he has been writing songs with an intimate touch and synth arrangements that put the melody front and centre. With Lovers (2008) he set the tone, and on With Julia (2013) — made with singer Julia Minkin — he shifted the focus to the voice: warmer keyboards, supple rhythms, melodies that continue to float lightly. Play Me Again (2017) blends indie pop, electronic chanson and disco or Balearic accents. Sunset Blue (2021) opts for more space and contemplation, without losing the urge to move.

Live, Kid Francescoli presents this repertoire in a more organic formation, where keyboards, drumpads and bass give breathing room to the vocals and to arches of tension that unfold slowly. On 16 October 2026 he will perform at Melkweg in Amsterdam with a set that brings his trajectory together, from early sketches to recent work.
