On October 9, 2026 at L’Échonova in Saint-Avé: a rap-metal double bill. Rise of the Northstar arrives with its crossover at the intersection of metal, hardcore and rap, fueled by a deliberately manga-inspired imagery. Formed in the Paris suburbs, the band blends taut groove, thrash riffs and chanted flow, in a direct aesthetic designed for the stage. With three EPs and three albums to their name, standout tracks like Here Comes The Boom, Again and Again and Showdown (released in 2023), and a studio session with Joe Duplantier of Gojira, they have honed an immediately identifiable sound. On stage, ROTNS delivers attitude, rhythmic precision and punchy choruses, with no frills.
Opening the show, ten56., the project led by Aaron Matts (formerly of Betraying The Martyrs), presents contemporary metal in which slowed-down deathcore, traces of nu metal and industrial textures respond to one another. Thick guitars, blunt rhythmic patterns, vocals that move between screams, spoken lines and rap-like phrasing, all threaded with samples and electronic atmospheres. Conceived first in the studio and then sharpened for live performance, the band has followed singles and EPs that explore dark themes, urban tension and social friction. On stage, the impact comes from heavy tempos and fragmented structures, producing an intensity that is experienced up close and physically.
