1984 Night at the Arcade: 10th anniversary

Amsterdam-based club concept Night Arcade celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year. What started as a club night dedicated to the synthesizer sounds of the early 1980s has grown into a staple for fans of italo disco, synth-pop, post-disco and Hi-NRG tracks. The anniversary edition will take place on 19 June at Melkweg Amsterdam.

For the occasion, organiser and resident DJ Devereaux 85 has invited two artists closely connected to the modern italo and synth scene.

David Vunk & Bordello Soundsystem

Rotterdam DJ and producer David Vunk tops the bill. As the founder of the label Moustache Records, Vunk has built a reputation through his eclectic blend of electro, italo and obscure club tracks. His sets feature raw energy and deep crate-digging selections.

Joining him is Bordello Soundsystem, behind Amsterdam's Bordello a Parigi label. Over the past decade, the imprint has been part of the global italo-disco revival, with releases and events.

Together with Devereaux 85, the night will explore the melodic hooks, drum machines and neon aesthetics of early 1980s club music.
