Claire Rousay creates intimate soundscapes. For her sound collages, Rousay uses acoustic instruments as well as everyday sounds that she records during the twilight hours. With her warm, crackling electronic sound, she weaves tracks that feel both alien and familiar.
Claire Rousay was born in Canada and lives and works in Los Angeles. In addition to her studio work, she has composed music for several films. On her 2024 album "sentiment", Rousay took a more pop-oriented approach with 'real' songs. Her latest album "a little death" marks a return to her creative essence: a solo painter of soundscapes. The album forms a trilogy with a softer focus.
