Emerging from London's early 1990s underground, Seefeel quickly became a forward-thinking act of their time, blurring the boundaries between guitar music and electronic experimentation.

Their debut album Quique (1993), released on the indie label Too Pure, then home to PJ Harvey and Stereolab, set them apart. Initially grouped with the shoegaze movement alongside bands like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, Seefeel's use of samplers, loops, and processed textures pointed to a different future, closer to the emerging IDM sound.

Aphex Twin was such a fan that he remixed their track "Time To Find Me" twice, free of charge, on the condition that they would eventually record for his Rephlex label. That collaboration, and the band's growing connection to electronic music, led to Seefeel becoming the first guitar-based group to sign with Warp Records in 1994.

Focused on experimentation, Seefeel remain known for a sound that has continued to evolve over time.
