Infected Mushroom

On April 4, 2025 at New City Gas in Montreal, Produkt brings together Infected Mushroom and Blastoyz for a decidedly psytrance bill.

Infected Mushroom, the Israeli duo formed in the late 1990s, has forged an instantly recognizable sound: fast trance structures, finely crafted melodies, rhythmic ruptures and borrowings from rock as well as pop, often threaded with vocals and cinematic textures. From their psy roots on The Gathering, Classical Mushroom and BP Empire to the hybridization of Converting Vegetarians and IM the Supervisor, and on to the more electrified turns of Vicious Delicious, Legend of the Black Shawarma, Army of Mushrooms or Return to the Sauce, the group's live show blends electronics and amplified instruments, with a sense of contrast that keeps the crowd enthralled.

Blastoyz continues the trajectory with direct, melodic psytrance: tight basslines, acid lines, synthetic hooks and airy breaks conceived for the stage. His sets move between progressive and full-on, playing tension and release without losing the melodic thread, for a clear and effective impact. A complementary counterpoint to Infected Mushroom's density, the two are brought together here on the same Montreal lineup.
