Roméo & Juliette

Roméo & Juliette by Gérard Presgurvic returns to the stage, carried by songs that have become inseparable from French pop, from “Les Rois du monde” to “Aimer.” Created in 2001, the musical has been performed in numerous countries and has adapted over the years without abandoning its identity: a universal love story, straightforward melodic writing and expansive staging. On 10 March 2028 at the Sud de France Aréna in Pérols, this score is presented in an updated version that combines new stage codes, rethought costumes and a refreshed cast, while preserving the DNA that left its mark on audiences.

The long-standing duo Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara stamped their signature on the title roles and continue to inspire the company. Their trajectory recalls what the show has carried since its inception: a tension between heritage and renewal, in which the characters gain depth over time. At the heart of the project, the question remains the same, simple and direct: how far can one go for love? On stage, the music and voices sustain this drama, with widely known refrains and an orchestration conceived for live performance, balancing fidelity to the original material with a contemporary interpretation.
