The Dark Side of the Moon

On December 8, 2026, at Confluence in Avignon, The Dark Side of the Moon blends melodic metal, folk, symphonic and power. Born from the meeting of musicians active in Feuerschwanz, Amaranthe and Ad Infinitum, the quartet brings together singer Melissa Bonny, guitarist Hans Platz, harpist Jenny Diehl and drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen. On stage the band cultivates reinterpretation: themes from film, TV series and video games are run through dense arrangements, razor-sharp guitars and a driving rhythmic backbone, with Melissa’s voice in the foreground. Between these reimagined covers, the set also includes original compositions, notably showcased on the album Metamorphosis, released in 2023. The concert draws a clear line between European folk metal and symphonic metal, favoring straightforward song formats and an aesthetic nourished by the imagery of soundtracks. It is an opportunity to hear familiar themes in a new light and to grasp the alchemy of a band positioned at the crossroads of musical scenes.
