Hip Hop Momo arrives at Le Noumatrouff in Mulhouse on Friday, 22 May 2026. An evening conceived by Yoshi Di Original, a long‑standing MC with numerous collaborations, it brings together four notable names from French rap for a lineup where technique, lyricism and stagecraft respond to one another.
Kacem Wapalek treats rap as a laboratory of language. With a precise flow, sharp alliterations and committed lyrics, he moves between hip‑hop, jazz and chanson, composing as much as he performs. On stage, his imagery and diction drive the performance, resulting in a structured and exact set.
Hippocampe Fou weaves verbal acrobatics, humour and storytelling. From Busta Rhymes to Brassens, his influences inform a trilogy themed around water. Between rap rhythms and pop melodies, he delivers finely honed texts and a performance that borders on the musical and the theatrical.
Yoshi & Di Originalz bring together more than twenty years of practice: five albums, hundreds of shows and bridges across several generations. A battle MC and improviser and a former frontman for Smokey Joe & The Kid, Yoshi blends a keen sense of flow, punchlines and a firmly rooted sound‑system spirit.
Triptik, formed around Dabaaz, Greg Frite and Drixxxé, celebrated thirty years in 2024. The trio returns with lyrics rooted in everyday life, boom‑bap beats open to electronic touches and clear, precise flows. After solo excursions, they reconvene to revisit a facet of the Parisian underground.
