Miguel Ríos, a native of Granada born in 1944, is part of the first generation of rock in Spanish. He began as Mike Ríos in the 1960s, between rock and roll and twist, and broadened his scope into pop rock, blues and orchestral ventures. In 1969, "Himno a la alegría" projected him onto the international stage. After that came live records like Rock and Ríos and songs that remain throughout his repertoire: "Bienvenidos," "Santa Lucía," "El río" and "Vuelvo a Granada."
Symphonic Ríos explores that songbook in a symphonic key, with orchestral arrangements that reframe pieces from different eras. The program combines ballads and more forceful numbers, putting Ríos’s voice front and center over a bed of strings and brass.
The concert will take place on July 25, 2026, at Starlite Festival - Auditorio Marbella, in Marbella.
