Saturday, December 12, 2026, at the Metronum in Toulouse, Psykup return to the stage with their free, theatrical brand of alternative metal. Formed in 1995, the band blurs the lines between metal, rock, hardcore, funk, jazz and progressive influences, playing with rhythmic breaks, spiraling riffs and a genuine sense of dramaturgy. Carried by Mathieu Miegeville’s versatile voice—between rage, irony and melancholy—Psykup shape songs that shift identity without warning, balancing tension and release.

With more than 30 years of history, five albums, an acoustic EP and two live DVDs, the band has polished its presence on stages across France, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany, and has appeared at Les Eurockéennes, Download France, Hellfest, the Boulevard Festival in Morocco and Rockstadt in Transylvania. Their sixth album, The Joke of Tomorrow (Verycords, 2025), continues an aggressive, groovy streak, fed by catchy harmonies.
