Covertramp

Covertramp returns to Sceneo, Longuenesse, on December 4, 2027, with a show entirely rethought around the world of Supertramp. Six multi-instrumentalists deliver a concert of approximately two hours, conceived as a journey through the band's pop-rock and prog repertoire, with careful attention to sound, vocal harmonies and period arrangements. The program blends songs rarely performed live with tracks that have accompanied several generations, from “School” and “Dreamer” to “Goodbye Stranger,” “Breakfast in America,” “Take the Long Way Home,” “Fool’s Overture” and “Give a Little Bit.”

The lighting design has been revised to support each piece without overwhelming it, and the band emphasizes nuance as much as power, moving between intimate passages and more instrumental surges. On vocals, Philippe Tailleferd inhabits the registers of Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies with natural ease, focusing on timbre and dynamics rather than mere imitation. The set is designed for listeners who know the catalogue inside out as well as for those discovering it live, with care given to transitions and musical storytelling.
