Anne Roumanoff « L'expérience de la vie »

On January 27, 2027, Anne Roumanoff presents The Experience of Life at the Théâtre Sébastopol in Lille. There she probes what it means to “have experience” at a time when everything is constantly changing. Between curiosity and maturity, she observes the major transformations of our daily lives: new languages, new behaviors, new professions. On stage she slips into characters and formats that unsettle our bearings: an American couples coach, retold fairy tales, a poem addressed to influencers, and wry commentary on current political and social affairs.

Directed by Gil Galliot, the show alternates sketches and confidences, with a clear through-line: deconstructing what once was in order to try to rebuild differently. Roumanoff examines speech tics, entrenched habits and emerging professions, bringing them back to everyday situations. Contemporary refrains, barely exaggerated characters, converging perspectives on the times: a flexible, direct format in which the comedian puts her experience at the service of the present.
