Blood Red Shoes

On 24 October 2026, Blood Red Shoes return to the stage at the Trabendo in Paris. The English duo formed by Laura-Mary Carter (guitar, vocals) and Steven Ansell (drums, vocals) have, for more than twenty years, championed a stripped-down two-piece format: writing records, touring and carving out their own playground. In 2026 they unveil their first new music in four years, entirely written, produced and mixed by themselves, and set off on tour again after their 20th‑anniversary shows in 2024.

On the bill is a set that spans their entire discography and features a salvo of new tracks. The DNA is clear: sharp riffs, rhythmic tension, call-and-response vocals—somewhere between indie, garage and noise rock, with a post‑punk edge. On stage, Blood Red Shoes perform as a duo, unadorned, at high volume with tight song structures, creating a guitar/drums face‑off defined by the contrast between urgency and crisp melodies. It’s a set designed to get straight to the point, exactly as they intend, without any embellishment.
