Laurie Wright

On 26 April 2026, Laurie Wright arrives at Dabadaba in Donostia / San Sebastián, carrying the pulse of British rock honed on the streets and forged in venues. Born in the South West Midlands, with a guitar slung over his shoulder since he was 14 and settled in London at 19, Wright has been refining a wide and direct repertoire. In 2020 he formed his band and won a loyal following playing in Camden; in 2023 he released Get On The End Of It, featuring tracks such as “West End Lover,” “Butter Side Up Boy” and “Wendy McKenzie,” and sold out the Camden Underworld. 2024 pushed him further: a UK tour, opening slots for The Rifles and The Libertines, and a second album, We’re Only Warming Up, which distils his songwriting approach: taut riffs, memorable choruses and a rhythm that invites sing-alongs. At Dabadaba, Wright and his band will present new material without forgetting the songs that have brought him here, with that blend of edge and melody that links the immediacy of busking to the impact of a well‑oiled band.
