Altin Gün

Altın Gün comes to Kafe Antzokia in Bilbao on April 14, 2026, with that sharp blend that put them on the map: Turkish and Dutch roots, based in Amsterdam, and a very contemporary take on Anatolian folk. The band reinterprets songs from the ’60s and ’70s with psychedelic guitars, a funk groove and keyboards up front, without letting go of the saz or bağlama and keeping the vocals in Turkish. Live, they cross hypnotic riffs with disco-leaning rhythms, flashes of synth-pop and cosmic echoes — a balance between traditional pulse and electronic textures that pushes you to move while preserving the details.

Their repertoire spans their albums, from On (2018) to Aşk (2023), with stops at Gece (2019), nominated for a Grammy in the global category, and at Yol (2021) and Âlem (2021). Between covers and original material, the songs gain weight on stage: arrangements that leave room for improvisation, taut bass lines, precise percussion and vocal harmonies that lock into a compact rhythm section. It’s an approach that sounds both familiar and new, made for enjoying the more danceable, psychedelic side of their universe.
