Zoufris Maracas

Zoufris Maracas arrive on October 31, 2026 at Le Bikini in Ramonville-Saint-Agne. Born from trips to West Africa and hardened in the Paris metro, they shape a traveling form of French chanson that blends cumbia, rumba, swing and Afro rhythms. Colorful guitars, brass, percussion and harmonies carry finely wrought lyrics, between social chronicles, everyday portraits and a longing for elsewhere. Often likened to Mano Negra or Les Négresses Vertes, they play with the rules without being boxed in, alternating tender ballads and bursts of speed that get your feet moving.

Across four albums and more than 700 concerts, the band has forged a nomadic, collective sound, recognizable from the first chorus. Their strength lies in the simple marriage of sunlit melodies and precise writing, and in a sense of celebration that doesn’t shy away from serious subjects.
