Wilco brings A Tour With Wilco to Rome as part of Roma Summer Fest 2026, a set that roams through three decades of songwriting — from the alt-country roots of A.M. and Being There to the pop textures of Summerteeth and the exploratory edges of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born. Formed in Chicago by Jeff Tweedy and John Stirratt, the band now runs as a sextet where acoustic restraint meets electric tension and space for improvisation.

On August 31, 2026 at Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, the group folds folk, indie rock and country into a live mix of detailed arrangements and open space. Nels Cline’s guitar lines weave through keys and a grounded rhythm section, shaping shifts from quiet sketches to thicker noise. Newer pieces from Cruel Country and Cousin sit alongside earlier staples, revisited rather than reproduced, with changes in tone and tempo that let the songs breathe. A set centered on interplay, melody and soundcraft, carried by Tweedy’s voice and the ensemble’s balance.
