Judas Priest

Judas Priest will play at the Zénith de Strasbourg on 12 September 2026. Born in Birmingham in the early 1970s, the band forged a two-guitar heavy metal sound: crisp riffs and a high, soaring vocal delivered by Rob Halford. From Sad Wings of Destiny to British Steel and Screaming for Vengeance, and then the acceleration of Painkiller, the line is clear: razor-sharp melodies, driving tempos, and a leather-and-steel imagery that became their signature. In the 21st century the band has kept going with Angel of Retribution, Redeemer of Souls and Firepower, incorporating the energy of Richie Faulkner on guitar.

On stage, Judas Priest draw from their classics and recent songs, stringing together power chords, mirrored guitar duets and choruses to sing along with. The sound remains massive and melodic, between heavy assaults and speed-metal flashes, carried by Halford’s high voice. At the Zénith, expect a passage through five decades of British metal, alternating between anticipated anthems and newer tracks, performed tightly and without detour.
