On Saturday, April 25, 2025 at Wavelength @ St. Anne’s, 651 Dufferin Street, Toronto, the Wavelength Music Series gathers a Québec–Ontario lineup of ambient and experimental explorers led by Montréal violinist-composer Jessica Moss. Affiliated with Constellation Records, Moss sculpts immersive violin loops in real time, layering voice and analog effects into slow drones and post-classical lines that ebb and build with a physical sense of space.
Pursuit Grooves, based in Toronto, steers into experimental electronic travels. Drum programming, synth fragments and grounded bass sketch a map where rhythm and texture trade places, drifting between head-nod patterns and atmospheric vignettes.
From Gatineau, Nick Schofield appears via Backward Music with the Blue Hour ambient jazz album release. Centered on patient synth pads, pared-down melodies and roomy reverb, his pieces trace the meeting point of piano figures and electronic tone color, shaping a contemplative flow.
Toronto sound artist Kilometre Club (Imaginary North, Nettwerk) threads field recordings with warm synth washes and tape-worn textures. A prolific soundscape builder, he folds urban and natural ambiences into unhurried pieces that highlight detail and movement.
