As a new format at Le Sucre, Type Beat spotlights the producers who have shaped hip‑hop, paying tribute to those who started in their bedrooms before forging their own sonic signatures. From J Dilla to DJ Mehdi, and more recently BBP, these artists have redefined the codes and opened up new musical horizons.

For this inaugural edition, we are collaborating with Baked Party, which will invite artists from the scene.

On the bill for the evening: Marseille-based producer Lyele, a pillar of La Fève’s “24” project; 63KLUF, a member of the 63wa collective known for his trap and melodic style; and KOZY856 with his cross‑border trap.

The lineup is completed by Izen, a Lyon-based producer and beatmaker who has notably collaborated with Jorrdee, Retro X, Majdon Co and LeSix; and SLMVX, an outstanding Lyon-based crate‑digger who draws inspiration from both rap and electronic music.
