Hugh Coltman returns to Théâtre l’Archipel in Paris’s 10th arrondissement on 1 April 2026 for an intimate-format engagement. An English singer based in Paris since the 2000s and formerly of the blues-rock band The Hoax, he has steered his songwriting from folk and blues toward a vocal jazz infused with swing and New Orleans influences. His distinctive voice carries songs delivered like stories, spanning original compositions and reinterpretations of the American repertoire. On stage, he favors closeness and musical complicity, for an evening centered on listening and subtlety.
Guesting on this date, Célia Kameni will blend her timbre and sense of phrasing with Coltman’s. Their meeting emphasizes dialogue and balance, between revisited standards and original pieces, in an exchange that brings them as close as possible to the audience.
