Nacht van de Nederpop XXL

At Nacht Van De Nederpop XXL, V.O.F. De Kunst returns to the big stage. The Tilburg-based band led by singer Nol Havens broke through in the early 1980s with simple, infectious melodies sung in Dutch. With "Suzanne" (1983) the band also drew attention beyond the Netherlands, as The Art Company with the English-language version "Susanna." Their sound moves between light pop, a touch of chanson and the storytelling of cabaret — precisely the mix that coloured Nederpop of that period.

Later, V.O.F. De Kunst shifted toward children’s music: adaptations of Dutch texts, new songs and theatre tours for young audiences in the Netherlands and Flanders. In the meantime the band continued to record and perform, with shows that bring together the different phases of their career, from radio pop singles to family-oriented work. On 12 December 2026 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam they will present that repertoire again: catchy songs, compact stories and Havens’ familiar voice, plain and intimate.
