Caroline Vigneaux returns with her new one-woman show, In Vigneaux Veritas. At midlife—neither really young nor already old—she casts a frank eye on this stage of life and delights in its paradoxes: yes, she has a TikTok account, no, she doesn’t know how to use it. From this small personal summit she speaks her truth—wholehearted and sometimes off-kilter—unspooling social topics that sting and make you smile: the temptation to legalize hard drugs in nursing homes (EHPADs), men’s rights activists and the limits she has found in feminism, the dangers of porn and Corn Flakes for the young, gender questions and sexual mishaps among the not-so-young, woke culture, the anxiety around AI… and even a Hollywood aside with Brad Pitt. A former lawyer, she retains a talent for comic advocacy: storytelling, repartee and precision to skewer our era and its contradictions.
