Info
On 21 March 2026 Tyler Childers performs at AFAS Live in Amsterdam with On The Road: EU & UK 2026. The songwriter from eastern Kentucky writes out of the Appalachians, with a sound that sits between country, folk and bluegrass. After self-releasing Bottles and Bibles he followed with Live on Red Barn Radio I & II and the studio albums Purgatory (2017), co-produced by Sturgill Simpson and David R. Ferguson, Country Squire (2019), the instrumental and politically engaged Long Violent History (2020), the three-part Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven? (2022) and Rustin’ in the Rain (2023). On stage he is often joined by The Food Stamps, for sets in which acoustic songs, honky-tonk influences and bluegrass energy sit side by side.
Molly Tuttle is also on the bill. The Nashville-based guitarist, singer and songwriter anchors her work in bluegrass and Americana, with precise flatpicking and a direct approach to song. After the EP Rise (2017) came When You’re Ready (2019) and the covers album But I’d Rather Be With You (2020). With Crooked Tree (2022) and City of Gold (2023) she deliberately concentrated on bluegrass, together with her band Golden Highway. Together they present an evening centered on contemporary roots music, with a focus on storytelling, ensemble playing and stringed instruments.
