JOHAN

On 3 April 2026 JOHAN will play at TR25 Schouwburg – Theater Rotterdam. Around singer-guitarist and songwriter Jacco de Greeuw, the band formed in the early 1990s in Hoorn, first as Visions of Johanna and later as JOHAN. Their territory: indie rock and melodic pop-rock, with clear guitars, compact songs and a focus on the song itself. After the self-titled debut in 1996 came Pergola (2001), THX JHN (2006) and 4 (2009), a period marked by lineup changes and breaks that culminated in a temporary halt. From 2015 the group picked up the thread again with Pull Up (2018) and, most recently, The Great Vacation (2024).

In Rotterdam that whole trajectory is audible: new material alongside songs that have stuck. Expect no frills, but songs that ride on twinkling guitars, tight structures and De Greeuw’s characteristic voice. A set that shows how JOHAN has carved out its own place within Dutch guitar pop, from the early years to the present.
