Paul Carrack

Paul Carrack is scheduled to perform on 24 October 2026 at the Nieuwe Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam. The British singer, songwriter and keyboardist has moved between pop‑rock and soul since the 1970s, with a voice that is immediately recognisable. He broke through with Ace and the song "How Long", later surfaced with Squeeze on "Tempted", and in the 1980s became the face behind Mike + The Mechanics hits such as "Silent Running", "The Living Years" and "Over My Shoulder". At the same time he built a solo career of melodic pop, soulful ballads and compact songs that continue to work live.

On stage Carrack intertwines the strands of his entire career: original material alongside key tracks from his band years, sustained by warm vocals and fluid keyboard work. There are no grand gestures, but a clear focus on the songs and the stories they carry. His route via Roxy Music, touring with Eric Clapton, and stints with Elton John and Ringo Starr colour the performance, with tight timing and a relaxed feel. In Rotterdam it comes across as an evening where songs are central and a catalogue of familiar hooks makes an appearance.
