On 13 June 2026 André Hazes Jr. will perform at Caprera in Bloemendaal. Raised on the Dutch song tradition, but now firmly on his own feet, he moves between Dutch pop (nederpop) and the levenslied — the sentimental Dutch "life-song" tradition. His repertoire shifts effortlessly from intimate ballads to more robust, rhythmic numbers, with arrangements that at times verge on schlager and sounds that are close to contemporary pop. The lyrics stay close to home: love that causes friction, relationships under strain, doubts and the small victories of everyday life.

Since the mid-2010s Hazes Jr. has steadily built his own catalogue of singles, studio albums and live recordings, often collaborating with writers and producers from pop and folk music. Live he keeps things direct and unpretentious: clear melodies, choruses that stick instantly, and plenty of room for both vulnerability and energy. In Bloemendaal he presents a fully Dutch-language set that alternates between sing-along hooks and quieter moments, with stories drawn straight from life and, precisely for that reason, that resonate.
