Stef Bos: Ik Zing

On 28 June 2026 Stef Bos will perform Ik Zing at Caprera in Bloemendaal. Bos has for years moved between the Netherlands, Flanders and South Africa; that journey is reflected in songs that range from intimate, narrative pieces to more rhythmic, expansive ones. In Ik Zing he places his lyrics at the centre: clear, direct, touching on themes such as family, memory, identity and the search for meaning. Between songs he talks, sketches scenes and draws connections, so the set feels like one continuous story.

Dutch and Afrikaans blend into one another, with influences from cabaret and an acoustic pop sound that leaves room for silence and nuance. Expect a selection from his repertoire alongside newer material, supported by piano, guitar and a spare band line-up. Not a grand gesture, but an evening in which the words set the pace and the melodies provide the underlying layer. Ik Zing is not a retrospective, but a snapshot of a singer-songwriter who continues to search for the right tone, close to the audience and true to the essence of his songs.
