Edwin Evers Band presents Classics Tour

On 14 March 2026 the Edwin Evers Band will perform at Patronaat in Haarlem as part of the Classics Tour. Around drummer and radio host Edwin Evers, a large live ensemble emerged in the early 2000s featuring multiple vocalists, a tight rhythm section and horns. The band draws on decades of pop history and presents classics from the 1970s to the present day: pop, rock, soul and funk, reworked for the stage.

Not a tribute to a single artist, but a cross-section of well-known tracks and forgotten favourites. Rotating lead vocals, layered backing vocals and concise horn lines keep the momentum going, with medleys and custom transitions that link songs together. The emphasis is on recognisable hooks, harmonies and rhythm, without slavishly copying the originals.

The Classics Tour plays with tempo and colour: from tight grooves and soft ballads to uptempo rock and contemporary pop. Edwin Evers conducts the show from behind the drums, while the band fluidly switches between styles and lets the arrangements keep the song at the centre. An evening devoted to live energy and the shared memory of pop music, in a setting that allows the songs to breathe on stage.
