Naaz

On April 10, 2026, Dutch–Kurdish singer-songwriter Naaz will perform at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen. With a DIY approach she brings the essence of her songs to life: clear melodies, spare arrangements and smooth electronics with an R&B edge, always built around the voice. Her lyrics revolve around family, self-confidence, leaving and coming home, and the search for balance between traditions and Western urban life.

Naaz has written and co-produced her own material from the start; early on she emerged in the dance scene through collaborations, including with Yellow Claw, after which her focus shifted to more introspective work. The EPs Bits of Naaz (2018) and The Beautiful Struggle (2019) marked that trajectory: accessible pop structures with space, rhythm and detail. On stage she glides easily between small, intimate passages and songs with a tighter beat, without losing the direct quality of her pop songs.
