Rootsriders & Mo Ali

On 20 March 2026 Rootsriders will play at Poppodium P60 in Amstelveen. The Amsterdam collective has long focused on the repertoire of Bob Marley & The Wailers. Expect a roots reggae sound with a tight one drop, deep basslines and arrangements that stay close to the original vibes, with occasional touches of soul and pop that sharpen the contemporary live feel. The band often builds its shows around themes or periods from Marley’s catalogue, so the concert offers both familiarity and new perspectives within that songbook.

This time Mo Ali takes the lead vocals. As the steady vocalist within Rootsriders’ rotating lineup he gives the set direction, supported by a rhythm section and backing vocals that carry the Wailers’ sound. His role fits the group’s approach: the songs are central, with room for dynamics between band and singer without losing the essence of the tracks. That way the focus remains on the songs, the groove and the harmonies that keep Marley’s legacy alive on stage.
