Info
On 17 July 2026 Clouseau will play at the Zuiderparktheater in The Hague. Since the mid-1980s, brothers Koen and Kris Wauters and their band have been shaping a Dutch-language pop sound that brings together direct melodies, ballads and light pop-rock. The name, borrowed from the inspector in The Pink Panther, found resonance in Flanders and the Netherlands in the late 1980s, with breakthroughs such as "Anne" and their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Geef het op." After a brief English-language detour in 1991, the group permanently returned to Dutch, documented on albums like Of zo…?, Oker and Adrenaline. Their songs focus on relationships and everyday situations, supported by guitars, keyboards and a voice that takes centre stage.
In The Hague, Clouseau will present a set that leans on that familiar repertoire: melodies that land immediately, spacious ballads and uptempo tracks built on a pop-rock foundation. At its core remains the Wauters duo, surrounded by a lineup that has changed over the years but keeps the sound tight and clear. From the early breakthroughs to more recent work, the common thread is the simplicity and directness that have characterised Clouseau for decades.
