On May 5, 2026 at La Maison des métallos, Victor Solf revisits Frank Ocean’s Blonde with A Tribute to Blond(e). Rather than a straight copy, he offers a reappropriation conceived as a space of freedom. What he takes from the cult album is the permission to dare, to strip down and then disrupt the pieces, sliding from R&B into more experimental zones. With a soulful voice at the center and shifting textures around it, he seeks the core of the songs, plays contrasts between restraint and sudden brilliance, and opens up fissures in a repertoire that has become a point of reference.
Alongside him, the duo KALUPTO extends this approach by shaping the sonic material: electronic pads, spectral guitars, rhythms that fracture and then reconnect. Together they turn the homage into a stage laboratory where each track becomes a living workshop, balancing tension and release, deliberate silences and measured crescendos. This creation, initiated during the Hyper Weekend Festival, unfolds here in a live version as a journey into the heart of the legacy of a major figure in contemporary R&B—without fetishism or devotion, but with the desire to shift the frame and explore its margins.
