Toc Toc de Laurent Baffie

On 11 June 2026 at the Théâtre Beaulieu in Nantes, TOC TOC, the comedy by Laurent Baffie, returns. In Dr. Stern’s office, a long-awaited neuropsychiatrist, six patients cross paths. All live with obsessive‑compulsive disorders, and the doctor is late. The waiting then becomes the driving force of the encounter: they talk, size each other up, test one another and invent ways to pass the time, each with their own rituals and limits.

Baffie relies on a rapid‑fire exchange of lines and situations. Palilalia, Tourette syndrome, nosophobia or a compulsion to avoid lines — the disorders respond to one another and force the characters to work together, oscillating between awkwardness and flashes of ingenuity. Directed by Pascal Maillard, the cast features Mathieu Gaudin, Marie Elie, Sophie Morin, Nelly Pichotbadeaud, Kamal Rawas and Olivier Collin, in an ensemble effort that highlights the rhythm, the contrasts and the play’s comic mechanics.
