On 14 March 2026, the Berlin Folk Festival lands at Festsaal Kreuzberg, bringing a late-60s/early-70s folk-rock spirit to the city. Headliner Drugdealer leads the bill: Michael Collins’ LA-rooted project folds 70s soft rock, psych-pop and soul-tinged arrangements into melodic, song-first sets, carried by warm harmonies and a fluid live ensemble.
The lineup spans garage psych to intimate folk. The Mystery Lights channel New York’s raw, organ-driven garage with taut, repetitive riffs. Joan Shelley brings clear-voiced Kentucky folk and sparse, text-focused writing. Triptides ride reverb-soaked guitars and sunlit psych with surf undertones. From the UK, Floral Image stretch neo-psych toward kraut-flavoured grooves and slow-burn builds. Suzan Köcher’s Suprafon, Sam Blasucci, André Ethier, Yves B. Golden with Ludwig Wandinger, Tessa Fleur with Winter McQuinn, Birds Flying Backwards, June Carousel, Espuma, Mío Ma and Karl von Hammerstein round out a panorama of wistful folk, West Coast harmonies and fuzzed-out rhythms.
Across two stages and seventeen live sets, the festival moves between close-up songwriting and saturated jams, with voices, melodies and collective interplay at the center.
