Bill Callahan will present My Days of 58, his eighth album, on October 8, 2026 at the Trianon in Paris. A figure of American indie folk, the singer-songwriter has built, since the 1990s, a precise and narrative songwriting practice, first under the name Smog and then as a solo artist. His deep, speech-like voice rests on spare guitars and discreet arrangements to capture everyday moments, landscapes and details that slip in effortlessly. Surrounded by his musicians, he unveils on stage this new repertoire of twelve songs, conceived as a band in motion: tight playing, measured interventions, a dynamic that lets the songs breathe. My Days of 58 extends his art of portraiture at human scale and highlights a live energy that runs through the recording. In concert, the balance between lyrics, breath and slow tempos establishes an attentive listening, without affectation, where every nuance finds its place. An invitation to enter a stripped-down world, told in a low voice, with a quiet intensity.
