The Trews - The Bloody Light Tour

The Trews bring The Bloody Light Tour to Coors Event Centre in Saskatoon on February 19, 2026. Formed in Antigonish, Nova Scotia by brothers Colin and John-Angus MacDonald with bassist Jack Syperek, the Canadian band carved its path with riff-forward rock songs and choruses built for singing together. After winning CHTZ-FM’s Rocksearch in 2002, they kicked off with House of Ill Fame (2003), then pushed on with Den of Thieves (2005) alongside producers Jack Douglas and Gordie Johnson, and No Time for Later (2008). The run continued with Hope & Ruin (2011) and the self-titled The Trews (2014), broadening their palette with more acoustic edges and melodic turns; the live acoustic set Acoustic – Friends & Total Strangers (2009) underlined that side. Civilianaires (2018) added denser, modern textures without losing the direct punch. On stage, The Trews shift from hard-driving cuts to stripped-back moments led by Colin MacDonald’s voice and tight harmonies, revisiting a catalogue that tracks their route from Maritime roots to the Hamilton rock scene.
