Nothing plays Le Ritz PDB in Montréal on April 1, 2026, for a night centered on their dense, melodic strain of shoegaze. Formed in Philadelphia in 2010 around singer-guitarist Domenic “Nicky” Palermo, the band blends ’90s shoegaze lineage with alternative-rock contours and slowcore tempos: saturated guitars, vocals submerged in the mix, and melodies that persist beneath the noise. Signed to Relapse Records, they pursued that thread across Guilty of Everything, Tired of Tomorrow and Dance on the Blacktop; with The Great Dismal they intensified the contrast between sheets of feedback and more austere passages. Split releases and collaborations have kept them circulating through metal, punk and noise circles; in 2023, When No Birds Sang, their project with Full of Hell, highlighted that push-and-pull between weight and drift.
