William Prince - Further From the Country Tour

Info

On March 7, 2026, at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, William Prince brings his Further From the Country Tour. The Manitoba-born singer-songwriter moves between intimate folk and country shaded by gospel, carried by a deep baritone and clear, narrative writing. From Earthly Days (2015) through Reliever (2020) and Gospel First Nation (2020) to Stand in the Joy (2023), his songs circle themes of family, loss, faith and belonging. On stage, solo or with a tight-knit band, he keeps the arrangements lean to let the voice and stories lead, gliding from hushed ballads to steady, rootsy grooves with a warm, lived-in feel.

Also on the bill, Winnipeg’s Boy Golden blends country, folk rock and americana with a light psych tint. After Church of Better Daze (2021) and For Jimmy (2023), his songwriting leans on road tales, small communities and modest personal quests, delivered with dry humor and an ear for melody. Guitars, keys and close harmonies shape a relaxed, glowing sound that adapts easily live, from electric swings to stripped-back moments. Together, the two artists sketch a wide folk spectrum, grounded, open and close to the bone.
