Info
Caamp brings its folk and indie folk roots to Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary on August 16, 2026. Formed in Athens, Ohio, the project centers on Taylor Meier’s warm baritone and the banjo and guitar work of Evan Westfall, with close harmonies and steady, unadorned rhythms that lean toward country and Americana. On stage, the setup shifts easily from a lean duo to a fuller band, keeping the focus on melody, texture, and a steady pulse that invites the room in.
The set navigates between quiet, slow-burning ballads and more driving tunes, drawing from across their catalog: the self-titled debut from 2016, the Boys (Side A) EP, By and By (2019), the live document Live from Newport Music Hall (2020), and Lavender Days (2022). Acoustic guitars, banjo lines, spare percussion, and layered voices carry songs that balance introspection and movement without fuss. Caamp’s live show favors clarity over gloss, giving space to choruses that build naturally and to the grain of Meier’s voice, with arrangements that breathe whether they’re playing as a tight-knit duo or a complete band.
