dEUS - Worst Case Versus In A Bar Tour

On 24 March 2026, dEUS from Antwerp will bring their “Worst Case Versus In A Bar” programme to the Bürgerhaus Stollwerck in Cologne. Since the early 1990s the band led by singer and guitarist Tom Barman has fashioned a blend of indie rock, experimental edges and art-rock details: gritty guitars meet melodic lines, violin and keyboards, often in songs that turn off the straight path rather than run straight ahead. In 1994 they released “Worst Case Scenario”, a debut caught between noise tension and quiet passages; in 1996 “In a Bar, Under the Sea” followed, further probing those contrasts—sometimes direct, sometimes more playful and deconstructed.

The tour places tracks from both albums at its centre and demonstrates the range of this repertoire on stage. With the perspective gained from later releases up to “How to Replace It” (2023), the songs acquire new contours live: focused, yet still open to breaks and detours. dEUS remain a band that layers, dismantles and reassembles their pieces—close to the song, without smoothing out their experimental streak. An evening that locates the dEUS cosmos where it works best: in the direct exchange between band and audience.
