Doctor Krápula

Doctor Krápula will take the stage at Knust in Hamburg on March 20, 2026. The band, fronted by singer Mario Muñoz and founded in Bogotá in the late 1990s, blends ska, punk rock and reggae with cumbia, classic ska, hip‑hop elements and Caribbean rhythms. Their lyrics remain in Spanish and address social, political and ecological issues—directly and danceably. Emerging from Bogotá’s alternative scenes, the group has established itself within rock en español circles in Colombia, Mexico, Central America and Europe, notably through festival appearances such as Rock al Parque. Over the years Doctor Krápula expanded their sound without losing their core: offbeat rhythms meet punk energy, while catchy choruses hold it all together. At the same time the band connects with committed acts across Latin America, works on collaborations and participates in projects focused on environmental and human rights.
