DEADLETTER - Tour 2026

DEADLETTER will play on 25 March 2026 at the Artheater in Cologne. The London-based formation grew out of a circle of friends who think writing, language and movement together. On stage the set is understood less as a classical performance and more as a narrative space: words lead, recurring motifs hold the pulse, and syntax is as important as the images it evokes. The pieces function like sequences, with precise scansion, breaks and the stacking of ideas – timing, punchlines and physical work interlock.

Coming from DIY contexts, the band seeks proximity to the audience: small venues, direct reactions, no artificial distance. Live, the material remains open to montage and reordering, is expanded, saturated and shifted by spontaneous interventions. This makes every performance mobile – a concert and a simultaneous live edition. Festivals, independent stages and alternative circuits have sharpened this practice; interaction is at its center.

At the Artheater these principles encounter an audience that is close by – ideal conditions for a set that recombines language, rhythm and movement in real time.
