Papooz - Tour 2026

Papooz, the French pop duo of Ulysse Cottin and Armand Penicaut, bring their 2026 tour to the Luxor in Cologne on 17 April 2026. Having met in the queue for a Patti Smith show, the two found their common language in pop music. Since their first modest hit “Ann Wants to Dance” (2015) they’ve kept a clear line: light melodies, androgynous-tinged vocals and grooves that swing between bossa nova, Californian soft rock and the British pop tradition.

On stage Papooz translate that mix into a direct, organic sound: two voices taking turns, warm guitars, sparse keys and bouncy rhythms. The set spans their three albums so far and leaves room for the details that carry their songs — airy chords, smooth basslines, little ironic twists, and a dash of melancholy. There’s no posing, more a sense of movement that grows out of the flow of the pieces. Fans of sunlit pop that doesn’t erase the shadows will find an evening of well-judged tempo and melodic focus — made for swaying along, nodding your head, and that feeling when the chorus still lingers long after the lights come back on.
