ROMES

ROMES will take the stage at the Moritzbastei in Leipzig on 19 February 2026. The Toronto duo, made up of brothers Jacob and Nicolas Bitove, combines razor‑edged guitars, heavy rhythms and dark electronic textures — somewhere between alternative rock and industrial influences. Formed in 2016 as a quartet in Wicklow, Ireland, ROMES have been performing as a duo since 2020. Early on they gained live experience in North America, including a slot at Austin City Limits and support shows for Mutemath, The Strokes, Silversun Pickups, The Warning and Saint Asonia. Independently, from 2021 they released several singles and the EP My Demons Are My Best Friends. In 2024 they contributed tracks, together with Jack Wall, to the music for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, before the album Sonic Trash followed in 2025. Live, ROMES rely on compact, punchy arrangements that combine raw energy with precise production — a set that brings together new material and earlier songs and traces the arc of tension in their electronically grounded rock sound.
