Guru Guru

On May 29, 2026, Guru Guru will take the stage at the LOLA Kulturzentrum in Hamburg. The German experimental and krautrock band centered around drummer Mani Neumeier has for decades blended psychedelic guitars, angular riffs and open improvisation. Live, driving grooves meet free excursions, noise and hints of jazz; themes surface, dissolve and are recomposed. The trio layers drums, bass and guitar with percussion and subtle electronic disturbances into a raw, mobile sound that repeatedly changes direction.

Between propulsive drive and playful breaks, spaces open up for spontaneous dialogue, call-and-response and clear shifts in dynamics. Snatches of blues, surf or world music flash by and give the longer jams shape without tipping into nostalgia.
