Jamie Woon

On 16 April 2026 Jamie Woon will take the stage at the Kent Club, Stresemannstraße 163, in Hamburg. The London singer, songwriter and producer has been blending soul, pop and electronic textures into a pared-down, close-to-the-body R&B since his early releases. With the album Mirrorwriting (2011) and tracks such as “Night Air” and “Lady Luck,” he fused velvety vocals with influences from the British bass scene. In 2015 he released Making Time, more organic and warmly arranged, with a focus on groove, space and carefully placed details. Woon is regarded as a reserved artist with a clear vision, whose lean discography still resonates today.

Live he favors precise arrangements, deep sub-bass and spare percussion that support his melodies without weighing them down. Between crackling pads, guitar-tinged chords and subtly layered choirs, the songs build their tension slowly, almost cinematically. The dynamics remain controlled, the voice sits at the center, and small nuances provide the drive.
