Ásgeir - EU Tour 2026

On 14 September 2026, Icelandic singer-songwriter Ásgeir will bring his quiet intensity to the Technikum in Munich. Born in 1992 in Laugarbakki, he established a distinctive voice with his debut Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2012), where clear melodies and the Icelandic language converge; much of the material was written by his father, the poet Einar Georg Einarsson. With the English version In the Silence (2013) he opened his songs to an international audience, supported by translations from, among others, John Grant.

Since then Ásgeir has gently shifted his sound between folk, subtle electronics and ambient hues: Afterglow (2017), the double Bury the Moon/Sátt (2020) and Time On My Hands (2022) combine acoustic guitars, floating synths and restrained rhythms with a calm, bright voice. Live he performs solo or with a band, alternating between Icelandic and English pieces. In Munich he will present a set that traces this development — intimate ballads alongside electronically tinged pop moments, precisely arranged and without excess, fully focused on song and atmosphere.
